Dr. Mills holds her PhD from the Faculty of Law at UBC with a focus on Gitxsan governance law. Dr. Mills’ work with First Nation communities has ranged from a critique of the Nisga’a Agreement in Principle, and advising First Nation Communities on Federal-Provincial Environmental Assessments in the mineral resource and oil and gas sectors. She has a working knowledge of Canadian mining/oil & gas permitting, and environmental legislation and regulations.
Working with Indigenous Communities, Industry, and Government to reconcile Provincial and Federal legislative objectives with Indigenous rights, titles, and to further expertise.
